Our Often Misunderstood but Well-Meaning Family by AmbitionDFined Our Often Misunderstood but Well-Meaning Family by AmbitionDFined
When I first saw Lars in trailers Tekken 6: BR, I was like, "Man, look at how out of place and silly this dude looks." But, then his design grew on me. I always thought it was kinda odd that he's the designated main character of Tekken 6 but he didn't show up in the first version of the game, he first appeared in an update. Lee Chaolan, is one of my dudes, tricky to use but fun to master, his role keeps switching back and forth between silly and cool, and after a long time of coming off as a bad guy, turns out he's actually not so bad. Jun and Asuka are pretty. The thing I really like about both of their designs (referring also to Jun's new one for TTT2) is that, and this may sound weird, that they look only vaguely Japanese. It always kinda seemed like to me that they both have the traits, physique, and movements of someone with both a mixed Asian and African American ancestry, almost ESPECIALLY Asuka with her overt curviness. But also Jun's new design doesn't look super Japanese to me, I couldn't but my finger on it, but it's mostly in the face and maybe that jet black hair. And I LOOVE it, they're both beautiful. Although, I NEVER liked Asuka's voice, when I first heard her speak I thought it seriously didn't match her design, too childlike and nasally. I always thought she should have a stronger, more womanly voice.

The only thing I liked about the Campaign mode on Tekken 6 was Jin. Jin's portrayal as the villain was the best he's ever been. I know a lot of people don't like Jin now because he's "evil", but in my opinion it improved his character.

I loved Tekken 6, but only as a fighting game. I don't know why they have added the crappy beat 'em up minigames ever since Tekken 3.

Yeah but in Tekken 6 they built the whole single player mode around it, so it was more or less mandatory to play if you wanted to unlock everybody.

They just shouldve stuck with that traditional story in Tekken 6. To have that game delayed constantly for them to finish development on the mode, and I just waited and waited for the game to come out, I was severely disappointed in the single player mode. But I plenty of mileage outta multiplayer and online so that made up for it. Tekken Tag 2, however, was a massive step up. I was so much more happy with that game than Tekken 6. I did think Jin being the bad guy was a teensy bit of a copout, though. Like it wasn't a bad move per say, cuz it was kinda cool, but it his reason for doing it seemed kinda dumb, y'know, and then it's like "yo, he was kinda good the whole time, he just had no choice." But man, you just caused wars and killed all these innocent people, now it's kinda like he's no different than Kazuya or Heihachi despite the story trying write him as otherwise.

I agree about almost everyone. Except Lars. He's honestly underdeveloped and boring. His design isn't bad, though, but that's it. :(

Well, I mean his design grew on me. I hated Scenario Campaign, it really pissed me off THAT was the main way to play the story and follow these two dumb characters around.

It was average IMO. It was nice following characters to see how they would make contact with one another.... The only thing that pissed me off is the Alisa boss fight. >_<

Also, that was Lars' first game. I remember when Tekken 3 came out when I was a kid and all the older people who played Tekken at the laundromat were just like "Where's Kazuya? Jin is boring as shit." And then in the other games, Jin got some divergent character evolution. Now everyone loves Jin. I predict the same thing for Lars. I'm by no means a Lars player, but I saw his designs for Tekken 7 and they look pretty dope.

Let's hope they'll do a good work on him in T7.
